Choi Wook

Choi Wook graduated from Hongik School of Architecture before studying architectural design and theory at Venice Institute of Architecture(Dottore in Arch.). He has been awarded fellowships by the MacDowell Colony, U.S.A and the Valparaiso Foundation in Spain.

Choi is currently a visiting professor at Korea National University of Arts, President of 《ONE O ONE architects》 and publisher of 『DOMUS Korea』. He was invited to the 2006 Venice Biennale, the 2007 Shenzhen-HongKong Biennale, and the 2013 Point-Contrepoint exhibition in Paris, and held a solo exhibition titled groundscape at Hyundai Card Design Library in 2013.

His major works include 〈Hakgojae Gallery〉, 〈Dugahun〉, 〈CJ Management Strategy Laboratory〉, 〈CJ CEO Lounge(Sangam-dong)〉, 〈Hyundai Design Library〉, 〈Hyundai Card Offices(HQ3, Yeongdeungpo, Busan)〉, 〈Gapado Island Project〉, 〈Hanyangdoseong Exhibition & Visitor Center(former official residence of the mayor of Seoul) in Hyehwa-dong〉. Choi won a 2013 DFAA(Design For Asia Award) for 〈Hyundai Design Library〉, the Kim Jong Soung Award in 2014 and a Medal of Merit from the Italian government in 2016.
