RYU Biho received a lot of attention by presenting the psychological situation of fear and anxiety about the future society following the transition to a new era through video installation in his solo exhibition 《Steel Sun》 released in 2000. Since then, he has co-organized 《Art actions through hacking》(2001) and 《Parasite-Tactical Media Networks》(2004-2006), which are ‘art, society, and media research groups’ with contemporary artists, curators, and media researchers, and has been researching and presenting projects. Throughout this period, 〈Flexible Landscape〉(2008, 2009), 〈Extreme Practice〉(2010), 〈Collaboration Escape〉(2010), and 〈Twinfix〉(2011) were published, asking aesthetic questions about art and society. In addition, he participated in the group exhibition 《Korean Video Art 7090 Hours Imaging Device》(National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, 2019), 《Multi-Time》(Baek Nam-joon Art Center, 2016), and 《Gwangju Biennale 20th Anniversary Special Exhibition》(5.18 Democratic Plaza, 2014). In commemoration of the 2013 Seonggok Tomorrow Artist Award, he was invited to the Seonggok Museum of Art in 2015, held a solo exhibition 〈My Sky at sunset〉(2015), and he participated in the 《Kunstler House Betanien Artist Residence》(Berlin, Germany) and 《Glenfiddic Artist In Residence》(Dufftown, Scotland).
