Kira Kim
Kim Kira received BA in Painting and MA in Sculpture at Gachon University and he gained an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College and completed a post-diploma course in Language and Cultural Study Theory.
He has held 12 solo exhibitions, including 《A Palace of Mirages》 in King’s Lynn Arts Centre, 《The Republic of Propaganda》 in Loop Gallery, 《Mega Factory》 in Kukje Gallery, 《Common Good_Climb Every Mountain!》 in Doosan Art Center, 《The Last Leaf》 Perigee Gallery and 《Artist of The Year》 MMCA, Seoul. Kim’s work has also featured in numerous group exhibitions at venues including Transfer 2011-2012 Korea NRW at Kunsthalle Dü sseldorf and Osthaus Museum Hage in (Germany), MOCA Tapei and Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan, MMCA Gwacheon, MMCA Seoul, Seoul Museum of Art, Leeum(Samsung Museum of Art), Plateau, Spring Centre of Art in China, The Guild Mumbai in India, Liverpool Biennial 2010 in UK, Minsheng Art Museum in Shanghai, Kunstverein Bochum in Germany, SantralIstanbul in Turkey, Biennial of Graphic Arts in Slovenia, Prague Biennale, Karlin Hall in Czech Republic, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Italy, Nanjing Triennial, Nanjing Museum in China, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Argentina and Museum of Contemporary Art in Chile.
5) SECRETS OF RUSSIA at KIASMA (Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki) 2012.
A collaboration with traditional Russian manufacturers. In 2011 Aamu Song and Johan Olin set on a journey to explore Russian manufacturing secrets. The travels, which took us from Moscow to Urals, into Siberia and to the Caucasus, resulted in collaboration with more than ten of traditional manufacturers.
