Transparence_ Sense and Mind: The Exhibition of Gapado AiR Artists 2018-2022

"Transparence: Sense and Mind" is a special exhibition organized by Gapado Artist in Residence (Gapado AiR), which opened in 2018, for its sixth year. Gapado AiR is an international residency that hosts artists from various genres including visual arts, architecture, and literature every year as part of the 'Making Gapado a Beautiful Island' project. This exhibition captures the new experiences and inspirations that each artist gained on Gapado from 2018 to 2022 under the theme of 'Transparence'. The time spent in the unique and isolated environment of the island, focusing on the new senses that open up, remains with the artists, giving them a raw experience. Between the last five years of Gapado AiR and this midsummer, which marks a new beginning, the fragments of Gapado that each of the artists carried with them were put together for the first time in Seoul, drawing their own map of Gapado.
